Silloth Nursing Home A registered charity, Silloth Nursing Home was established in 1862, and has a long history of caring. Today we are able to offer all the advantages of a modern nursing home combined with our traditional commitment to providing quality care. The home is registered for both nursing and residential care. Registered Charity Number 223946 Situated near the West Beach of Silloth on Solway, a quiet Victorian seaside resort, Silloth Nursing Home benefits from a peaceful setting overlooking the Solway Firth towards the Scottish Hills. We maintain strong links with the community through frequent visits from local people and the use of the Community Bus to enable our residents to attend events in the town when they wish. The home was purpose built as a Convalescent Home and opened in 1862. Many original features such as the wide corridors have been retained. Upgrading over recent years has provided single and double bedrooms, mostly with en-suite facilities. All the rooms are on the ground floor and have a nurse call system.
